Brabham leaned on the entreaties of customers and released a road version of the BT62 supercarJanuary 8, 2019
Due to numerous requests from potential customers, the option of upgrading Brabham BT62 to a civilian car was added to the list of sports car options from the revived company
Despite the fact that the new supercar, presented in the spring of 2018, was previously loved by potential customers, many of them were not satisfied with the track designation alone. As they said, it is not convenient to hire a car transporter to deliver the car to the track and roll around a bit. Therefore, the company went to meet and added an option worth “only” 150,000 pounds sterling
Brabham BT62 is now available in Road Compliance Conversion. As part of the refinement, the car will receive not only the elements required by law, which include high-grade rear optics with turn signal, frame for mounting state number and other details. Also, the car will be equipped with air conditioning, a more pleasant trim, as well as slightly increased ground clearance.
In the technical part, it will remain the same. Under the hood, the 5.4-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine will still be installed, capable of developing up to 710 horsepower. Together with it, a six-speed sequential gearbox with a pneumatic actuator works.
Unfortunately, the company continues to hide the technical characteristics of the car. Acceleration to 100 km/h will take about 3 seconds. Of course, refinement will make it harder, but we do not think that this will seriously affect the dynamics.
