BMW’s net profit for 9 months fell 1.7 timesNovember 4, 2020
The net profit of the German automaker for the period January-September of this year decreased by almost 1.7 times in annual terms. Thus, the company’s split profit per share is 3.2 euros against 5.37 euros a year ago.
Also, revenue in annual terms decreased by 7.1% to the level of 2019 – to 69.508 billion euros. In addition, during the mentioned period, car deliveries fell by 12.5% and amounted to 1.638 million units, of which 1.427 million cars belong to the BMW brand. Shipments of Mini-branded models decreased by 20%, while Rolls-Royce – by 28.5%.
According to the results of the third quarter of this year, the net profit of the German automaker increased by 17.4% – to 1.786 billion euros. Diluted earnings of 2.71 euros versus 2.31 euros in the third quarter of last year. In addition, in the third quarter of this year, BMW was able to increase the supply of models by 8.6% and amounted to 675,592 vehicles.
Car deliveries BMW increased by 9.8% – to 585,200 units, Mini – by 1.9%, to 89,260 units, Rolls-Royce – decreased by 9.5%, to 1,091 units. Also, in China, which accounts for about a third of shipments, the figure increased by 31% to 230,900 vehicles.
