BMW X3 M will be the first among crossovers that receive the Competition Sports PackageApril 20, 2018
Charged crossover BMW X3 M, which should debut before the end of the year, the first of the line of all-road cars will receive the Competition Sports Package. According to the edition of Motor.es, it will include increased engine output, other settings for control electronics and all-wheel drive systems – they will be the same as those of the M5 sedan.
Under the hood of the base BMW X3 M will install a three-liter in-line six-cylinder engine with two turbines. The output of the engine will be 456 horsepower. Machines with the Competition Package will receive the same unit, but its capacity will increase to 482 hp.
From the civil crossover BMW X3 M will be distinguished by a more aggressive body kit with enlarged air intakes, sports brakes, a lowered suspension and an exhaust system with twin nozzles.
It will become the most powerful in the X3 line – now this place is occupied by the modification of the M40i, which is equipped with a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine with a power of 360 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. From zero to 100 kilometers per hour, the BMW X3 M40i can accelerate in 4.8 seconds. The maximum speed is 250 kilometers per hour.
