BMW will show its biggest crossover in NovemberFebruary 12, 2018
BMW Company will present a serial version of its largest crossover X7 at the Auto Show in Los Angeles in November. The main markets for new products will be China and US, according to Autocar. The assembly of the model will be adjusted at the plant in Spartanburg (South Carolina), where they already produce X3, X4, X5 and X6. The main competitors of the crossover will be Mercedes-Benz GLS, Cadillac Escalade and Lincoln Navigator.
The design of the novelty will be slightly different from the prototype Concept X7 iPerformance, which was presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year.
BMW X7 will be built on the modular architecture of CLAR, debuting on the flagship sedan 7-Series of the new generation. From the younger crossovers of the Bavarian brand X7 will differ primarily in a three-row saloon, which can accommodate six people – two in each row.
Technical characteristics of the new products are kept secret. According to unofficial data, the engine range of the crossover will include six- and eight-cylinder units. Also, customers will be offered a hybrid modification of the X7. This modification of the X7 will be offered with a power plant from the X5 xDrive40e (313 hp).
