BMW will introduce the 8-Series Cabriolet in Los AngelesOctober 25, 2018
Finally it will happen! The official presentation of another representative of the flagship family of the BMW 8-Series will be held at the Los Angeles (USA) Auto Show.
For a long time, the press service of the Bavarian automobile brand BMW teased the entire automotive community with information about the imminent presentation of the BMW 8-Series.
As our colleagues tell, already next month, the company will finally show its new flagship in the body of a convertible. At the same time, journalists refer to official sources in the automaker itself.
In recent months, we have seen a whole host of “spy” photos of the long-awaited premium German news. And from time to time on the spotted test prototypes one could notice less and less camouflage. A couple of days ago, a car was spotted on which there was practically no such camouflage film on it – a sure sign that the official presentation of the novelty was not far off.
Journalists also learned that the 4-door large compartment will be presented in the summer of next year, exactly like the full-fledged M-version.
The new flagship family of the Bavarian automotive brand has a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine under the hood, with a maximum power of 523 hp. From 0 to 100 km / h, cars can accelerate in less than 4 seconds. Apparently the cabriolet version will lose a bit in dynamism due to the added weight (yes, the car has no roof, but it has a heavy mechanism for raising / lowering the soft roof).
