BMW Car Company withdraws from the Chinese market over 3.9 thousand cars due to problems with crankshaft sensors. This was reported on Saturday, the agency Xinhua, citing the State Administration for the Control of the Market.
According to official information, 3,939 vehicles of the entire model line of the company, and a subsidiary brand MINI, released in 2018, came under the recall. A malfunction in the crankshaft position sensor may cause the motor to malfunction, reduce power, increase fuel consumption, and even stop the motor completely.
At the moment there is not a single case of accidents or injuries. All work will be completed in the shortest possible time, and entirely at the expense of the automaker. Owners will receive an alert in person.
