BMW unveils GS anniversary seriesJuly 19, 2020
The renowned BMW GS motorcycle range celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. Recall that the history of this family of bikes began back in 1980 with the advent of the BMW R80GS.
And in honor of the anniversary, the German company showcased three motorcycles in a special 40 Years GS Edition: BMW F750GS, F850GS and F850GS Adventure.
The main difference between the special series bikes is the body color. All three bikes have a combined color palette of yellow, black and silver. Other shades are offered at the same time. The bikes also feature commemorative markings, painted forks and black or gold wheels.
In addition to the unique color scheme, the German company announced the expansion of the list of standard equipment for bikes in a special variation. Models 750 and 850 now come standard with LED turn signals, dashboard USB, ABS Pro and Dynamic Traction Control (DTC). The F850GS and F850GS Adventure now have an optional TFT display as standard.
BMW, in particular, has updated its list of optional factory accessories and components with improved optional driving modes, a GPS holder, and an even lower seat and modified suspension.
At the same time, the motorcycle engines were not changed. So, the 750 is still equipped with an 853 cc power unit with 77 hp, and the 850 is equipped with a similar engine, but with a capacity of 95 hp.
BMW has not yet announced the cost of the F750GS, F850GS and F850GS Adventure in special modifications.
In addition, the British company Langen Motorcycles recently demonstrated its first motorcycle, Langen Motorcycles 2-Stroke. The novelty received a carbon tank, Ohlins forks, Ktech Piggyback Razors shocks and Dunlop Classic tires.
