BMW to bring the 8 Series to Geneva with V12February 8, 2018
The BMW sports division will present in Geneva a new concept car built on the basis of the revived 8 Series coupe. According to preliminary information, the Germans will show a modification with the 6.6-liter V12. This is reported by BMWBlog.
The prototype, in addition to the twelve-cylinder engine, will receive unique design elements. Probably, in part the design of the concept will be inspired by the M8 coupe, which is not yet presented.
Previously, BMW showed a teaser of the new 8 Series, and also published several photos of camouflaged cars. However, no additional details about the car did not.
At the beginning of January this year, the network has photos of the car in the 850i xDrive. Pictures posted in Instagram user wilcoblok.
Last September, BMW brought the M8 GTE racing coupe to the Frankfurt Motor Show, which will compete in the World Endurance Championship (WEC), and will also participate in the 24 Hours of Le Mans Marathon. The car received a four-liter turbocharged V8 engine, the output of which exceeds 500 horsepower.
