BMW plans to introduce 25 hybrid models by 2025May 26, 2019
A Bavarian concern road map appeared on the Web. In the presentation, you can see a complete list of already announced models and a number of “hidden” new products, painted until 2025.
A quick look at the plans presented by BMW shows quite ambitious intentions of the brand. We can see 25 future innovations equipped with hybrid systems. This once again demonstrates the desire of all global concerns to conduct the earliest electrification of their cars.
BMW started its way with its own development in the form of a platform used on the i3 model. Its sales began in 2013, and since then the company has focused on technology upgrades and the preparation of hybrid models. To date, they are preferred in the near future. The next stage of electrification will be the introduction of new all-electric cars, but again, mostly converted from existing serial and future hybrid cars.
As noted in the company, the dynamics of sales of hybrids is constantly growing. Today, around 400,000 electrified BMWs are in use around the world. By the end of the year it is planned to increase this figure to 500,000 hybrids and electric vehicles. According to the results of the first four months of 2019, 36,697 electrified models of the concern were sold.
By the end of this year, it is planned to present: BMW 330e iPerformance, BMW 530e iPerformance, BMW 225xe Active Tourer iPerformance, BMW X5 xDrive45e iPerformance and MINI Electric.
