BMW officially introduced the updated motorcycle S1000 RRNovember 7, 2018
The official presentation of the Bavarian 2-wheeled speed monster was held as part of the EICMA 2018 motor show. According to company representatives, the motorcycle engine was developed almost anew. BMW S1000 RR is equipped with a 4-cylinder engine with a liquid cooling system, the maximum power of which is equal to 207 hp
Engineers of the brand were able to increase this figure by 7 horses. The max of torque is 113 Nm.
The HP Shift Assistant Pro Quix Shifter, which reportedly is standard on a motorcycle, works with this power unit. The total weight of the BMW S1000 RR is now 197 kg, while its predecessor weighed 207 kg. It is known that in the version from the sports division of the BMW M, the weight will decrease to 193.5 kg.
The intake manifold was also modified and a new exhaust system was installed. The distribution of the load on the wheels is now different, the rear suspension has also been revised. A new generation DDC electronic suspension is available at an additional cost. The motorcycle received 4 driving modes – “Rain”, “Road”, “Dynamic” and “Race”.
Also worth noting is the dashboard, which is a 6.5-inch display – a standard option.
So far there is no data on the start of sales of the Bavarian novelty, exactly like the prices for it.
