BMW M4 test prototype hides huge grille under camouflageDecember 6, 2019
It is assumed that the next generation M4 will be equipped with the same 3.0-liter turbo engine used on the X3 M and X4 M. Spy photos partially confirm the design of the presented concept.
At the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2019, the BMW Concept 4 was introduced. The car was a harbinger of the new Quartet, and caused a wave of criticism due to the huge nostrils of the radiator grill. Now, photo spies managed to take some photos of the test prototype of the BMW M4 2021 model year. Judging by the images, the grill will nevertheless become a reality.
Surely, the car is hidden not only under camouflage film. Nevertheless, the presence of false panels of temporary optics and so on cannot be ruled out. But we are more interested in the grille. In the photo, it is carefully hidden, and only two squares are visible, but the actual size is visible among the camouflage.
According to preliminary information, the next generation BMW M3 and M4 will be equipped with a 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbo engine. Paired with it will be an automatic transmission and four-wheel drive. But as a separate version, the new “M-ka” will receive “mechanics” and rear-wheel drive. Acceleration to “hundreds” will take less than 3.3 seconds.
The debut of the new generation BMW M3 should take place in a couple of months. So the presentation of the new M4 will be held later in the second half of 2020 as a car of the 2021 model year.
