BMW M4 convertible caught for the first time with almost no camouflageOctober 26, 2020
The new BMW M4 convertible will be equipped with a three-liter “biturbo-six”
Spy photos from tests of a BMW M4 convertible have been published on the Web. In the pictures presented, the car was captured practically without camouflage.
Judging by the photos, the BMW M4 convertible looks like the new Bavarian coupe unveiled at the end of September. In particular, the front of the open-top sports car will receive the same massive elongated radiator grill and a similar front bumper. The rear of the newest car, including the fenders and bumper, is covered with camouflage. However, according to experts, it will not differ significantly from the hard-top coupe.
The new convertible will receive a fabric roof that is 40 percent lighter than the convertible top on the previous generation model. In addition, the new material will provide improved noise and thermal insulation, as well as increase the volume of the luggage compartment. The test copy of the M4 is shod in black wheels, which will also be equipped with production cars.
Under the hood of the “charged” convertible, engineers will place the same power plant that is on the M4 coupe – this is a “biturbo-six” 3.0 with a return of 480 or 510 horsepower. The unit will work in tandem with a six-speed “mechanics” or eight-speed “automatic”. Drive – rear or full.
The debut of the BMW M4 Convertible is expected before the end of 2020.
BMW unveiled an exclusive version of the M4 Competition Coupe x Kith last week, created in partnership with the American clothing brand. In total, the Bavarian concern will release 150 limited coupes.
