BMW M3 E92 received a power upgrade from G-PowerApril 15, 2018
The German studio decided to please the owners of the previous generation BMW M3, releasing a jubilee whale named “35 Jahre Edition” for their cars. Recall, the standard BMW M3 in the body of the E92 was equipped with a four-liter V-shaped “eight” with a power of 420 hp. It was the first to receive an eight-cylinder engine based on the atmospheric V10 S85 of 5.0 liters from the older M5 E60. The main difference from the predecessor was a block of cylinders made of aluminum alloy, and not cast iron.
Compressor package G-Power M3 V8 “35 Jahre Edition” strengthens all the advantages of the stock engine, providing a unique combination of high engine and supercharger speeds, more power and traction at medium rpm, extreme response, high performance and availability for everyday use.
The return of the stock eight-cylinder engine is 420 hp and 400 Nm of torque, and with the G-Power package, the power is increased by 81 hp. – up to 501 hp, the increase in torque, the tuner does not report anything, as well as changes in the dynamics of the sports car. The cost of the new whale “35 Jahre Edition” is 2 999 euros
Recall, BMW M3 current generation was introduced in 2014. The model is available exclusively in the four-door body, and the coupe and cabriolet are offered as a separate model – the M4. The charged sedan is equipped with a three-liter three-liter 6-cylinder bi-turbo S55B30T0 with a return of 431 hp and 550 Nm of torque.
By the way, earlier we reported that in the summer of this year, BMW plans to complete production of the M3 in the body of the F80. The appearance of a new “charged” M3 is expected in 2020.
