BMW iX3 will be launched next yearDecember 18, 2019
According to Motor1.com, the BMW iX3 electric crossover will be able to cover distances of up to 440 km on a single charge.
After the premiere of the iX3 prototype in April last year, the German corporation was developing a mass variation of the electric crossover. The BMW Brilliance Automotive joint factory in China and the Bavarian brand have finally confirmed some of the technical characteristics of the machine, which is due to start production next year.
First of all, the serial BMW iX3 will be equipped with a 74 kW / h battery, which will provide a range of up to 440 km. It should be emphasized that this number is given as part of the European WLTP cycle, which means that EPA ratings will be slightly lower. Power will be provided by BMW’s fifth-generation eDrive electric drive system.
Speaking of cross-country performance, the electric motor will develop 286 hp. and 400 Nm of torque. It is now known that a version of the BMW iX3 with a rear-wheel drive system will initially appear.
With the launch of the all-electric iX3, the X3 will be the first car of the brand to be offered not only with simple gasoline and diesel engines, but also with a hybrid and purely electric drive.
