Photo spies managed to take new pictures of the BMW i4 – only this time the model looks a little more “charged” on them.

Fresh pictures show the BMW i4 with M-style mirrors, blue brake calipers and a wider rear track. The automaker has previously confirmed that its M division will be working on a “charged” version of the i4 electric car, and these photos seem to show the first fruits of this work.

We expect the i4 to follow the same path as the Porsche Taycan, which has faster Turbo S or Turbo versions as well as cheaper modifications.

Recall that the Bavarian automaker began to master electrification with the concept car i4 Gran Coupe. Unveiled online – in lieu of the canceled Geneva Motor Show – the new concept has announced a production version of the i4, expected to arrive in 2021. This is a very important vehicle for Munich; the first full electric vehicle since the i3 and the start of the new i line.

This is just a concept, but the specifications are likely to reflect what we see in the production model. For example, BMW representatives announced that the Concept i4 will have a range of 600 km, power of about 523 hp. and a top speed of 200 km / h. Acceleration is as brutal as you’d expect from an electric Gran Coupe – it should take the model around 4.0 seconds to hit the 100 km / h mark. The Concept i4 uses an 80 kWh battery and weighs only 550 kg.

The Concept i4 is a concept in many ways, but there are some key interior features that are sure to make it into series production. The curved display has already been confirmed for models like the i4 and iX5. The iDrive all-wheel drive has also gone through a transformation and is tuned for electric cars.
