BMW is preparing to present an updated BMW X2December 19, 2019
BMW is working on a hybrid and electric versions of the X2, as well as updating the classic modification of the model with ICE.
The updated compact crossover was spotted by photo spies on a tow truck and has a number of minor changes. One of the most notable updates is the all-new grille, which is hidden behind camouflage.
It is possible that the updated X2 will have a larger radiator grill than its predecessor. In addition to the new radiator grill, the X2 will have modestly redesigned headlights and another bumper. In addition, the novelty will receive a new rear bumper and restyled taillights.
Interior changes are likely to be relatively minor. In this case, the model can get a digital instrument cluster and an updated infotainment system.
Under the hood, an assortment of familiar gasoline and diesel engines awaits us. The choice should be largely transferred from the current version, but minor modifications are also expected to improve performance or increase fuel efficiency.
In addition to conventional powertrains, a modification with a plug-in hybrid is expected, which includes a 1.5-liter gasoline turbocharged three-cylinder engine and an electric motor that is powered by a 9.7 kWh lithium-ion battery. This installation should give the model a total power of 217 hp. and 385 Nm of torque.
