BMW introduced the M8 Gran Coupe in an exclusive First EditionDecember 24, 2019
The Bavarian company will begin production of a “charged” 4-door coupe BMW introduced the M8 Gran Coupe in an exclusive First Edition performance in March next year. A total of 400 copies will be collected, and the price for each will be $ 230,000
With a starting price of $ 102,000, the 8 Series Gran Coupe 4-door 840i is already one of the most expensive BMW models you can buy. But if you want, you can pay a lot more money for a luxury sedan – we are talking about the high-performance performance of the M8 Competition Gran Coupe. Just a couple of minutes ago, the brand’s press service announced that customers will soon have an even more expensive First Edition package available, with a circulation of only 400 cars worldwide.
It is reported that the first eight copies of the new items will contain several of the most exclusive chips that will distinguish them from all other versions of the car.
The exterior design of the car is largely inspired by the concept of the M8 Gran Coupe, presented back in March 2018 at the Geneva Motor Show as a preview of the future production model. The flagship BMW sedan received an exclusive Aurora Diamond Green Metallic exterior color combined with accents of gold bronze.
The branded “nostrils” of the false radiator grille are framed in golden color, as a tribute to BMW racing cars of past years, while the front pillar is decorated with the number of the car in the series – this inscription will be engraved with a laser. The door sill will bear the BMW Individual Manufaktur designation, and the 1 of 8 badge will be located on the tailgate.
The prestigious German brand also made additional efforts to create a special interior – in particular, floor mats are exclusive, and there are additional elements indicating that this is not just an M8 Competition Gran Coupe. The salons of the first eight First Edition cars are trimmed with Merino leather as well as Taruma Brown.
While production of the M8 Gran Coupe will begin in March 2020, the first eight cars in the series are already built. They are intended for the domestic market in Germany, the USA, Switzerland, Belgium, Great Britain, Japan and Qatar. The car costs about $ 230,000
Not so long ago, we wrote that the AC Schnitzer studio had modernized the BMW 3 Touring 2020 station wagon. The tuner has developed an aerodynamic body kit and also offers a more productive suspension that can lower / rise. At the request of the client, the engine power of the Bavarian station wagon can be increased.
