BMW introduced the “golden” performance of the flagship coupe 8 SeriesJune 22, 2020
According to the automaker, absolutely all configurations of the Bavarian coupe BMW 8 Series can now be purchased in the exclusive “golden” version of Golden Thunder. There are no prices for the new version of the model yet.
BMW offers to purchase the flagship 8 Series coupe in the new Goldern Thunder Edition, which was developed by BMW Individual. The latter is engaged in the creation of exclusive versions of serial models of the brand. This version of the premium coupe, which will be mass-produced at the BMW factory in Dingolfing (Germany), has an exclusive design.
At the moment, the BMW 8 Series Goldern Thunder Edition offers changes exclusively in exterior and interior (from a technical point of view it is still the same car). The new version is available for absolutely all 8 Series trim levels: from Coupe to Gran Coupe and from 840i to M850i xDrive.
As you may have guessed, the essence of the Golden Thunder Edition is to apply gold accents to the car body. These gold “decorations” apply to the entire body of the car – from the front to the rear bumper. The 20-inch M Sport alloy wheels with a two-spoke design are also gold-plated, as is the rear spoiler, which is exclusively available for the 8 Series Coupe. The body can be painted in shades of metallic shades of Sapphire Black or Frozen Black.
Inside, the G8 in the Golden Edition version boasts black merino leather trim with the “Golden Golden Thunder” inscription on the front head restraints. The Coupe and Gran Coupe have an Alcantara Anthracite roof as well as an aluminum trim with aluminum mesh effect.
The price of the new 8 Series Coupe Golden Thunder has not been disclosed, but BMW said that the start of mass production of the new version is scheduled for September 2020.
