BMW introduced the concept of the future i4 sedanSeptember 10, 2019
The Bavarian automaker pleases us with many new products at the Frankfurt Motor Show and one of them was the concept of the future electric car, which will replenish the lineup of the i line.
The Bavarian all-electric sports sedan is already in the base will be equipped with all-wheel drive and will be able to drive up to 550 km on a single charge. The new BMW i4 will be an all-electric sports sedan with a four-door low body and will receive two engines. The Bavarian electric car promises to be a real headache for the Tesla Model 3 with the added benefit of being an experienced auto maker as a build.
I4 did not get its own platform: instead, it will be based on the 3- and 4-Series models, known as cluster architecture or CLAR.
The novelty from BMW will offer several power levels of its model, depending on which prices will vary. The largest battery allows you to drive an electric car up to 550 km between charges and accelerate the car to 100 km / h in 4.0 seconds. The maximum speed is likely to be limited to a modest 200 km / h, which will save the battery.
Thanks to its attractiveness, practicality and affordability, the i4 will try to return BMW to its previous level. The serial version of the model will go on sale in 2021 as the model of 2022 and will probably cost about 50 thousand dollars.
