BMW introduced new top versions of X5 and X7 crossoversMay 25, 2019
Both models have the most powerful engine in the line, not considering the version with the prefix “M”. Now a version with a 4.4-liter V8 engine with 530 power and 750 Nm of torque is available to customers.
BMW decided to further expand the line of crossovers X5 and X7. Moreover, the expansion was not due to the new “charged” modifications from M-Power. New items can boast a powerful new engine and acceleration to 100 kmh in 4.3 seconds in the case of the BMW X5 M50i, and 4.7 seconds for the X7 M50i.
Under the hood, the same engine is offered – a 4.4-liter bit-turbo V8 engine capable of developing up to 530 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque. Together with them works a sports automatic transmission on eight steps and a proprietary system of all-wheel drive. The engine has undergone significant modernization, having received a new crankcase, pistons, as well as liners and cylinder heads.
As an additional option, you can order a fully-controlled chassis, a modified braking system, as well as active anti-roll bars. Moreover, the “basic” equipment included an electronic M-differential lock, air suspension, and branded 21-inch wheels.
The model will be available in the fall of 2019. So far, only known plans for the US market.
