BMW introduced a special version of the BMW X2 M Mesh EditionSeptember 30, 2020
The BMW X2 is a crossover that the brand claims is aimed at customers with an active lifestyle. According to BMW, this special M Mesh Edition is aimed at “even more active customers” who are “young or feeling young.”
The BMW X2 will be available from November this year in the M Mesh Edition, which is based on the M Sport X trim but has a number of unique design details. For example, the X2 M Mesh Edition features a black grille with a 3D mesh effect, which BMW says is inspired by motorsport. This version also features Frozen Black Brown bumper inserts. The same mocha shade can be found on door panels, sills and wheel arches.
The vibrant orange decals that can be seen in these photos are standard on the special edition, at least with the X2 in Brooklyn Gray or Sapphire Black Spray. If you opt for the X2 M Mesh Edition in white, blue or orange, you can get black stickers as standard. If you wish, you can completely do without this element of external decor.
The model is available with a choice of 19- or 20-inch alloy wheels, which are accented with the color of the aforementioned decals. As in the case of the “regular” X2, LED headlights are standard on the special version, and you will have to pay extra for adaptive LED matrix devices.
The interior is offered in two standard color options. The M Mesh Edition is equipped with M sport seats upholstered in leather and Alcantara. The dashboard and center console are decorated with orange stitching. In addition, the special version offers the BMW X2 a special aluminum finish, BMW Individual anthracite headlining, stainless steel M pedals and a leather-covered M steering wheel. Those who order a crossover with a manual transmission will receive the M logo on the lever.
The BMW X2 M Mesh Edition is available in 18d with 150 hp, 20d with 190 hp. and 25d with 231 hp. In addition, two versions are offered with a petrol engine: 18h with 136 hp. and 20i with 178 hp. The M Mesh Edition is also available for the xDrive25e plug-in hybrid. The model will be available from dealers from November.
