BMW i4 M, first spy photos of the electric sports carOctober 18, 2020
The performance variant of the German carmaker’s battery-powered compact will enjoy a total output of 523 hp
The debut of the new BMW i4 M is approaching, the sports variant of the electric compact of the German company. It was CEO Markus Flasch who recently announced its imminent arrival, words followed by the first spy photos circulating on the web and portraying the circular car allegedly engaged in a preliminary test phase. The heavy camouflage of the prototype pinched on the road does not prevent the most attentive observers from seeing some details that make it clear that it is the M variant of the new BMW i4.
Above all, the aerodynamic mirror caps and blue brake calipers of the high-performance braking system stand out. The rear spoiler and the more extended rear mudguards also deserve a mention. It remains to be understood what will become of the rear bumper, subject to possible changes given the absence of the traditional four-pipe exhaust system of dubious utility on electric models in general. From the motor point of view, the only information we have are obviously indiscretions: Carscoops explains how the new i4 M will enjoy a maximum power of 523 hp, which will guarantee acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in about 4 seconds flat and a top speed of 200 km / h.
