BMW i3 made office on wheelsDecember 20, 2019
The car has everything for convenient and productive work. Such a modification will be shown at an exhibition in Las Vegas.
BMW in an unusual way experimented with its i3 crossover. The car was converted into an office on wheels and received the Urban Suit prefix. The model will be shown to the general public at the Consumer Electronics Show 2020, which will be held in Las Vegas from January 7 to 10 next year. In the meantime, you can see the illustrations shared by the automaker. Salon i3 changed almost beyond recognition. Of the standard equipment of the car, only the driver’s seat, steering wheel and dashboard remained. The developers of a unique car were looking for a middle ground between style and a high level of comfort.
The back sofa was completely removed and a comfortable chair and a table were installed in its place. On the table you can place a mug with a drink, put personal items or put a computer.
A stylish lamp comes with the table. Also in the cabin there is a clothes hanger and a special audio system for a passenger with a display on the ceiling. There is no front passenger seat either – a footrest is installed in its place. The BMW i3 Urban Suit is based on a standard hatchback – an electric motor with an output of 184 hp is used as a power plant. Cruising range without recharging is 285 km. The car was created in a single copy – they are not going to start mass production at the moment.
