Sales of BMW i3 and i8 with special decor and equipment will begin in November .
BMW has introduced special versions of the i3s electric car and the i8 hybrid two-door. The series is planned to be limited to less than 1000 copies for i3 and 200 for i8, and sales will begin in November this year. The performance of the Ultimate Sophisto Edition coupe and i8 roadster will be the last for the model, which will be completed in April 2020.
The electric BMW i3s in the Edition RoadStyle is distinguished by the Fluid Black body color with accents of the exclusive E-Copper shade. The edging of the branded “nostrils” is painted in copper, the air intakes on the front bumper, as well as the lining of the side skirts. The appearance is complemented by 20-inch wheels in Jet Black. The interior of the electric car is trimmed with genuine leather and dark oak decorative panels, and the name of the special version is embroidered on the head restraints.
The BMW i8 Ultimate Sophisto Edition Coupe and Roadster is offered in the Sophisto Gray Brilliant Effect color with E-Copper accents, with two-tone (Black and E-Copper) 20-inch wheels and transparent rear lights. The hybrid equipment includes a Shadow Line package with a decor in glossy black, brake calipers with blue accents, a projection display, a Harman Kardon audio system with ceramic switches and an expanded package of storage spaces.
Prices for special versions i3s and i8 have not yet been announced. It is known that the circulation of the electric car performed by Edition RoadStyle will not exceed thousands of copies. The BMW i8 Ultimate Sophisto Edition hybrid coupe and roadster will launch 200 units.
