BMW has started production of the next-generation 8-Series coupe. The first car came off the assembly line of the plant in Dingolfing, in the modernization of which the German brand invested several hundred million euros.
The new BMW 8 Series debuted in mid-June. The car, built on a modular platform, received a fully-controlled chassis and adaptive suspension. For the model will be available 530-horsepower twin-turbo eight with a capacity of 4.4 liters, and a three-liter six-cylinder diesel with a power of 320 hp. Both cars are all-wheel drive.
The petrol version of the model will accelerate to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, and the diesel version – in 4.9 seconds.
Subsequently, the gamma of modifications of the G8 will expand due to the four-door Gran Coupe, a convertible and a charged M-Series equipped with a motor with a capacity of about 600 hp.
The first BMW 8-Series will go on sale in Germany in November. The prices are not named yet.
