Company BMW has presented the modernized versions of electric cars i3 and i3s. Hatchbacks got more capacious sets of batteries, thanks to which they have increased the maximum mileage without recharging.
The stock of batteries increased from the previous 33 kWh and 94 Ah to 44.2 kWh and 120 Ah. Batteries can be recharged on 80% of the home outlet for 15 hours and using a special system i Wallbox – for 3 hours and 20 minutes. At a special fast charging station, replenishment of the battery reserve will take about 40 minutes.
BMW i3 can now travel without recharging approximately 285-310 km instead of the previous 235-255 km according to the new WLTP cycle. The sports S-version of the course increased from 235-245 km to 270-285 km. The company noted that under standard daily conditions both electric cars are capable of driving about 260 km – 60 km more than before.
Standard BMW i3 is equipped with an electric engine with a power of 170 hp, which allows the car to accelerate from place to “hundred” in 7.3 seconds. The BMW i3s, equipped with an 184-horsepower unit, accelerates to 100 km / h for 0.4 seconds. faster.
The upgraded BMW i3 will be available with new body colors, adaptive LED headlamps, iDrive multimedia system with an optimized menu, and a wireless Internet access point with the ability to connect 10 devices.
