BMW 3-Series of a new generation, which will become lighter and stronger than its predecessor, debuts at the Paris Motor Show
BMW has published a teaser that gives an idea of the next-generation 3-Series model. The public premiere of the novelty will be held in early October within the framework of the Paris Motor Show.
Judging by the image, the sedan will receive a proprietary double radiator grille, which, unlike other new models of the Bavarian brand, will be integrated with the headlights of the head light. In this case, in its form, the front optics will resemble the 8-Series coupe.
Earlier it was reported that the center of gravity of the novelty will decrease by 10 mm, and the weighting along the axes will turn out to be ideal – 50:50. The weight of the BMW 3-Series will be reduced by 55 kg, but the strength of the bodywork and suspension will increase by 15-20%.
The new 3-Series will receive a completely redesigned suspension – the sedan will be the first production BMW with special “smart” shock absorbers that “continuously and steadily work in accordance with the course of the spring.”
The line of engines will include three-liter petrol and diesel engines with a power of 360 and 320 hp respectively, and a turbo four, which develops about 300 horsepower. Subsequently, the model will have a hybrid version and a modification with a fully electric power plant.
