BMW celebrates the 50th anniversary of the 5 Series with the new R nineT/5July 7, 2019
Special model has received an exclusive coloring metallic Lupine Blue and chrome parts.
This series was put into production in 1969. And it so happened that 50 years have also been celebrated since the launch of the BMW Motorrad motorcycles at factories in Berlin, Spandau. BMW celebrates both anniversaries with an exclusive R nineT / 5 motorcycle with a lot of aesthetic touches reflecting the history of the model, as well as some modern details. For example, standard heated knobs.
Also in the design of the bike you can see black and silver elements, chrome mirrors, exhaust manifold and muffler. Other elements, such as pipe plugs, hubs, spokes, etc., have an aluminum finish.
The standard equipment of the model includes ABS and ASC, and the exhaust system complies with Euro-4 standard. On the fuel tank, you can see the protective lining, which not only looks attractive, but also quite practical. And, of course, do not forget about the anniversary plate, without which no solemn motorcycle can do.
With the engine, the manufacturer decided not to split hairs and installed a 110-hp engine with a volume of 1,170 cm ³. Will the model on the market is still unknown.
Meanwhile, the company is preparing a modular capsule to protect the pilot for its C Evolution maxi-scooter model.
