BMW announces the premiere of the new roadster Z4August 22, 2018
The German brand has published the final teasers of a new sports roadster that will share the chassis with the revived Toyota Supra
BMW has published the latest teasers of the third-generation sports roadster Z4. The public premiere of the production car will be held in the USA on August 23 at the Pebble Beach Elegance Competition.
At the same time, apparently, the pictures show a concept car – earlier on the Internet published official photos of the “commodity” car, which has a slightly different appearance. However, the production car as a whole will look similar to the prototype of the same name, presented last summer.
The BMW Z4 roadster will be built on one chassis with a new Toyota sports car, for which the name Supra will be revived. German and Japanese engineers are jointly developing a platform for a sports car since 2014.
The line of engines will include a three-liter in-line supercharged “six”, the output of which, depending on the market and the modification will vary from 350 to 390 horsepower. In addition, the engine range will include a two-liter turbo four with a power of 200 to about 300 hp.
