BMW announced the date of the presentation 8 Series Gran CoupeMay 4, 2019
According to the official statement of the press service of the Bavarian automaker, the presentation of a large coupe from the new flagship 8 series will be held as part of a special event in June of this year.
Several months have passed since we last saw the test prototype of the large flagship coupe BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe in “spy” photos. This time we will talk about the official document. The above teaser, which was published by the press service of the Bavarian brand BMW, says that the “film from the model” will break during the NextGen event, which will be held in Munich (Germany) in late June.
We improved the photo a little to see if something was hiding in the shadows, but BMW is extremely reasonable in such things, and even with reduced brightness we still see only the familiar silhouette of the car.
Over the past year we have seen many “spy” photos of the BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe, and although camouflage hides some details, we already have a general idea of what to expect.
Starting from the front desk, this is a pure 8-Series coupe, as we know it today. Outside, the roof is slightly elongated, but despite the placement of two additional doors, the overall smooth shape of the coupe is well preserved. The rear quarter panels are unique to the Gran Coupe, but surprisingly, the rear panel looks almost identical to the two-door model, despite the internal differences.
Under the hood of the Gran Coupe will be 4.4-liter Twin-Turbo V8 capacity of 523 hp High-performance car will offer about 600+ hp.
