BMW 8-Series cabriolet almost without camouflageSeptember 20, 2018
It seems that the imprinted test sample of the German novelty received some elements from the sports division of the BMW M. It should be noted that in red, this version of BMW’s flagship model looks very stylish. The convertible carries a minimum of camouflage.
It is noteworthy, but sometimes even a simple color change can completely change … in our case the kind of car. A couple of hours ago, our foreign colleagues published pictures of the cabriolet of the new flagship family BMW 8-Series. A marked prototype of the long-awaited novelty wore a minimal amount of camouflage.
It is also worth noting that on this copy there were some branded features of cars from the sports division of BMW M – it’s about spectacular bumpers, wheel disks, etc.
And of course you can not fail to mention the red body, which contrasts perfectly with the black elements of appearance. It is possible that the camouflage film that covers the rear of the body is labeled M850i.
As before, a soft roof was raised on the prototype. What’s interesting is that BMW’s corporate badge, which is on the hood, is also covered with camouflage film. Maybe he will change? Hardly. Well, even without this badge we see that the car is in front of us and it’s definitely not some Skoda. Also worth noting is the absence of the front splitter – in its place are black plates. Probably, this detail of the exterior is not yet ready. But you can see the rear bumper, which in comparison with the last series of “spyware” shots has undergone a slight change. Large trapezoidal branch pipes of the exhaust system are also clearly visible.
As you know, under the hood of the BMW 8-Series convertible there will be a 4.4-liter V8 biturbo that gives the maximum 523 horsepower in a high-performance version from the BMW M. Division. According to insiders, from 0 to 100 km / h the cabrio can accelerate in less than 4 seconds.
Finally, we note that most likely, the official presentation of the BMW 8-Series cabriolet will take place within the framework of the upcoming motor show in Paris.
Meanwhile, the press service of BMW published a teaser, possibly a new generation of 3-Series.
