BMW 8 Series Cabrio caught photospiesOctober 16, 2018
About a month ago, at the end of August, we saw the first spy photos of the BMW 8 Series 2019 convertible. Now the photographers sent a new batch of pictures with a different prototype being tested at the Nurburgring. However, judging by the exterior color and a small amount of camouflage in the back, this prototype may be the same gig that was seen last month.
Most likely, the Bavarian company conducts high-speed tests around the track in order to better tune the transmission, suspension, brakes and steering.
Apparently, the tests turned out to be the version of the M850i xDrive, under the hood of which there is a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8. The maximum power of the model will be 523 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque. Acceleration to a 100 km/h takes only four seconds.
The debut of the BMW 8 Series Cabrio is likely to take place at the Los Angeles Motor Show. But the Bavarian concern may reveal the design and before the public presentation in the framework of the Internet premiere.
