BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe 2021 gets a recognizable silhouetteSeptember 3, 2019
Spy shots of the next-generation BMW 4-Series model in coupe and convertible versions have been printed more than once, but the five-door Gran Coupe fastback is still in the shadows.
This is no longer the case. In the first pictures, the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe is captured, showing a very familiar silhouette that even extensive camouflage does not hide. It turns out that the next generation of the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe is a lot like the i4 electric car. It seems that BMW uses the same body for two models, and this is not surprising, since both cars will have a modular CLAR architecture and will be produced on the same assembly line. As for the 4 Series Gran Coupe, it will get the same headlights and taillights as the Coupe and Convertible models, as confirmed by these spy photos. The prototype is equipped with already finally developed headlights and flashlights.
Obviously, the biggest difference between the BMW i4 and the 4th Gran Coupe series will be the drivetrain. While the former will be equipped with a fully electric transmission that allows you to cover more than 600 km without recharging, the latter will be equipped with gasoline and diesel engines and, possibly, a hybrid transmission with a plug-in module. There is information that BMW will also first offer the M4 Gran Coupe. The second-generation BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe will debut in 2020 after a coupe and convertible. The model will begin to be produced in the USA in 2021.
