BMW 4 Series Convertible almost completely lost camouflageJuly 16, 2020
The Bavarian automaker continues to test its future novelty. This time the spies caught a new convertible 4 Series with almost no camouflage: the film hides only the rear of the car.
The new BMW 4 Series convertible continues to pass the required road tests, however, this time the car was noticed without total disguise.
So, judging by the spy photos, the 4 Series G23 convertible gets the same giant grille in the form of huge “nostrils”, which surprised fans of the brand by the coupe version. This, by the way, is not the only visual detail that both cars have in common. The exception is dark decor.
The new convertible gets a soft top that differs from the hard top of the first generation. This is likely to make the car lighter.
The minimal camouflage on this test car may indicate that the launch of the new product will take place in the very near future – the bill goes on for weeks or months.
In terms of technical equipment, foreign experts at motor1.com suggest that the BMW 4 Series convertible will receive the same units as the coupe. These include the 255 hp turbocharged inline B48 with a turbocharging of two liters combined with a rear-wheel drive system and the 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine with 48-volt mild hybrid technology, producing 382 hp. This setting is for all-wheel drive vehicles.
Earlier, during the tests, it was possible to photograph a new generation BMW 2 Series coupe. Two versions of the novelty got into the frame – for Europe and America.
