Blogger spoke in detail about the Mercedes-AMG G63 from the studio MansoryMay 25, 2019
Tuners have always found a way to radically transform the iconic SUV into something really crazy – this is especially effective for engineers at the Mansory studio. The overseas blogger had the opportunity to explore this SUV in detail.
Over the years, we have seen an incredible number of different tuning projects, the basis of which was taken by the legendary German SUV G-Class. Even Mercedes-Benz, or rather its sports division Mercedes-AMG, has released very interesting versions of the off-road legend, which are called the G63 6×6 and G500 4×42.
The latest project of the Mansory atelier is based on the high-performance G63 of a new generation, and with the help of the German fashion designer Phillip Plain, it quickly became a rather ridiculous car.
Called Star Trooper, the upgraded SUV, which was first introduced at the Geneva Motor Show in 2019, is a very unusual “tyunyachaya” version of the model. Everything is strange there – from the finishing of the body, which contains as much as 50 shades of gray, 24-inch wheels, red LEDs to a carbon body.
The 4.0-liter V8 engine, whose power amounts to an enormous 850 horsepower, and torque is 1000 Nm, has undergone changes. To achieve such results, large turbines were installed, a highly efficient “exhaust”, another engine control unit and other changes. Thanks to the updated equipment, the upgraded G63 accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in just 3.5 seconds, and the maximum speed is 250 km / h.
In total, the studio Mansory is going to make 20 copies of the upgraded G63, each of which will be offered for an incredible 550,000 euros
