Bentley posted record quarterly sales. The rich still need new toysMay 7, 2021
Following its success last year, Bentley ended the first quarter of 2021 with record sales.
The automaker sold 40% more vehicles in Q1 2021 compared to the same period in 2020. This allowed him to increase his profit to $ 78 million.
An impressive 187% growth was recorded in China, where the luxury next-generation Flying Spur was popular. However, it was the Bentayga luxury SUV that remained their top-selling product during the first quarter. It accounted for 40% of total sales. On this side of the pond, Bentley delivered 17% more cars.
Despite a notable achievement, Bentley is not going to stop there. The brand’s management remains cautiously optimistic for the rest of the year because they don’t know what will happen tomorrow.
At the moment, the manufacturer does not have a shortage of spare parts. This means that the company will continue assembling premium foreign cars.
At the end of March, Bentley celebrated the release of the 200,000th car in its 102 years of existence. More than 75% of these attractions have been released in the last 18 years. Moreover, 40% and 20% of them were Continental GT and Flying Spurs, respectively. A significant share belongs to the first premium car Bentayga, produced with a circulation of more than 25 thousand copies.
