The model of the premium coupe has been completely redone in a sports car with all the consequences: relief, boost, reconfiguration of the suspension, transmission, brakes and steering. But the improvements will be minimal.
Already on June 30, 2019, the next competition to climb the Pikes Peaks mountain will take place. This annual event has long been an occasion to measure the coolness of cars among automakers. And Bentley decided to win another record in his piggy bank. For this, a special version of the coupe GT was prepared. Sports car prepared specifically in honor of the 100th anniversary of the brand.
Despite the extensive refinement, to establish a record of change should be minimal relative to the serial version. The fact is that the company announced its participation in the category of production cars. As the power unit will be used regular 6.0-liter turbo engine W12, capable of developing up to 635 horsepower and 900 Nm of torque.
According to the company, the model is now capable of accelerating to the “hundred” in 3.6 seconds, with a top speed of 333 km / h. The pilot will be the New Zealander Rhys Millen, who is faced with the task of overcoming the 19.99 km long track with a rise of 1,500 meters in less than 10 minutes and 26.9 seconds.
In 2018, Bentley has already set its own record in this competition. Then the part took Bentayga SUV in a special modification.
