Bentley Flying Star or never-created wagon companyMay 22, 2020
Ten years ago, an Italian design studio created the Flying Star station wagon specifically for Bentley. But the car never got into the series. Now we present to you a new version of a previously created car.
The idea of creating a Bentley station wagon may seem out of place at the moment, but in fact, such a car could appear in 2010. Moreover, we are not talking about a project that was completely created by the British premium company, since Flying Star or a flying star, so decided to call the car, was a project of the Italian design studio Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera. A few months after the Continental GTC “with a long roof” appeared at the Geneva Motor Show, a member of the VW Group’s board of directors admitted that it was considering a two-door station wagon at that time. However, this did not happen.
Now, based on the idea of a universal car company, independent artist Nicolas Cavero presented his vision of how a similar model from Bentley could look like today.
Given the fact that the Continental GT is a terrific car, it is not surprising that this virtual station wagon looks great. While the image of the car we published is just a rendering from an enthusiast, we want such a car to really be released.
Italian bodybuilder Zagato creates specifically for Aston Martin unique versions of their models in the station wagon, we hope that the Bentley Mulliner division, which creates the brand’s models to order, is quite likely to introduce the station wagon sooner or later.
Not so long ago, we wrote that Bentley will collect 12 replicas of its race car of the last century. Using the latest laser scanning technology, the British brand is creating a detailed digital model of a race car of the last century.
