Bentley Bentayga PHEV debuts this spring in GenevaJanuary 6, 2018
In the second quarter of this year, in addition to the version with a V8 biturbo engine, the plug-in hybrid Bentley Bentayga also debuts.
The world premiere of the new modification Bentley Bentayga Plug-In Hybrid will take place in early March at the international automobile exhibition in Geneva. This is reported by the publication Automotive News Europe with reference to the representatives of the British manufacturer of luxury cars.
The hybrid transmission of the novelty will be similar to the Porsche system in the Panamera E-Hybrid. It’s about a 2.9-liter V6 gasoline turbo with one electric motor. The total capacity is 462 horsepower. Plug-in Hybrid Panamera has a power reserve on one electric traction 50 kilometers.
The Bentley Bentayga PHEV version will join the already available modifications with the 6.0-liter W12 biturbo and 4.0-liter V8 biturbo turbodiesel. Hybrid will go on sale in the second quarter of this year. It can become the most popular version against the background of Dieselgate and the growing demand for electrified cars. Around the same time, Bentayga will launch on the market with a new 4.0-liter V8 gasoline turbo engine, which is already installed in the Porsche Cayenne (550 hp and 770 Nm) and Lamborghini Urus (650 hp and 850 Nm).
Previously, the plug-in hybrid Bentley Bentayga was observed on pre-series tests at the Nurburgring.
