Batmobile “crashed in an accidentJuly 22, 2019
A replica of the “Batmobile” with a Lamborghini engine had an accident on a highway in the area of Tetegem in France – it collided with a Renault Scenic. Both cars were seriously injured, but the drivers escaped with only fright and bruises.
The Batmobile was created by Team Galag for YouTube star Sebastien Delanni and it was he who drove the car at the time of the accident. The car drives a 560-horsepower V10 5.2 engine from the Lamborghini Gallardo, which is combined with a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Its wheelbase is 3.4 meters, and its width is 2.5 meters. Replica cost – about a million pounds.
The photographs and video from the scene show that the Batmobile has the front part completely broken, and the right front wheel is turned out at an unnatural angle, which indicates the serious nature of the damage. You can also notice the triggered front airbag. Despite this, Delanni leaves no hope that the car can still be repaired, even for an impressive fee.
As for the second participant of the collision, Renault Scenic, then his “Batmobile” has touched a lot on the tangent. The minivan has a damaged right side from the rear door to the bumper, the front right wheel arch and headlight are completely missing, the side windows are broken and the front airbags are fired.
Both cars after the accident were not on the move: they were loaded onto tow trucks and removed from the road to restore traffic.
