BAIC will present in Shanghai a luxury copy of Jeep WranglerApril 15, 2019
As part of the upcoming auto show in China, many new products will be presented: from concept electric cars to regular copies of world brands. Model Beijing BJ40 Plus will be presented on April 16.
Jeep Wrangler is a legendary model, occupying its own niche as a universal SUV. It is therefore not surprising that some companies are trying to repeat the success of a competitor, releasing similar models. Concern BAIC will present at the upcoming Shanghai auto show a luxurious copy of the Wrangler as a model of the Beijing BJ40 Plus. At the moment, the model is already on the stand to the company and is preparing for a public debut.
The concept of the model is fully consistent with the Jeep Wrangler, but the design has its own uniqueness, although similar to other models of the company. The model boasts an impressive protective body kit with extended wheel arches, another grille, headlights on LED-matrix, stylish chrome moldings and silver accents on the bumpers, and the seats and door cards are covered with genuine leather.
As a power unit on the Chinese SUV will be installed petrol 2.3-liter turbo engine, capable of developing up to 250 horsepower. Together with him will work “automatic” on eight steps. A version with a 2.0-liter turbodiesel capable of developing up to 150 forces will also be available. Together with it only the manual transmission will be offered for six steps. All versions are combined with all-wheel drive.
The price of the BJ40 Plus City Hunter Edition will be announced in a few days. For BJ40 Plus, Chinese dealers ask from 169,900 yuan
