The Australian company Race Cast Engineering, which manufactures engines, has created an atmospheric 12-cylinder engine of 9.5 liters. On sale, the engine will appear as a set of ready-to-install in any car – the main thing is that there is enough room for it.

Acceptance of orders for this power plant has already begun. The engine will cost $ 55,200. Engineers took the GM V8 LS / LT range of lower engine motors as the base. The cylinder block was created independently, it can be made of cast iron or light alloys.

The cylinder diameter, piston stroke and fuel system were borrowed from LS / LT atmospheric power units with a volume of 5.3 to 7.0 liters. In a standard variation, the working volume of the V12 is 9.5 liters, the performance is 760 horsepower, and the torque is 965 Nm. The engine spins up to 7100 rpm.

The net weight of the 9.5-liter fluid-free motor is 265 kg. In addition to this, two options are offered for the power plant worth $ 5,000 each: forcing a cast iron engine to more than 1000 horsepower or developing a power plant with an aluminum cylinder block, in which case the engine without liquids will weigh 191 kg.

Instead of the name of the manufacturer, the address of the web portal where you can buy a similar power plant is placed on the covers of the heads of the block. During the creation process, which lasted a couple of years, the motors were tested both on a dynamic stand, as well as in a Kia Pregio minibus.
