Audi will introduce a coupe-like version of the updated crossover Q5March 18, 2020
It is reported that an updated version of the mid-size crossover Q5 will also be offered to customers in the Sportback coupe body. This version of the car will compete with the Bavarian BMW X4.
Over the past few years, BMW and Mercedes-Benz have introduced a huge variety of crossovers and SUVs to capitalize on capturing the demand for these types of cars. But the Audi company apparently decided to refrain from this. But soon everything will change.
According to the German automotive publication, Audi is developing a coupe-like version of its Q5 Sportback crossover.
According to rumors, the Q5 Sportback will debut this fall before it goes on sale next spring. The coupe-like version of the model is developed together with the usual Q5 crossover. Spy photos show the usual prototype of the updated Q5, which was partially masked, indicating that the model should be updated in the middle of the life cycle. The publication also expects the appearance of a high-performance version of the SQ5 Sportback.
Audi Q5 Sportback will receive rivals in the person of BMW X4 and Mercedes GLC Coupe. The Q5 Sportback is likely to use the same engines as the regular version of the crossover.
The German edition believes that the new Q5 Sportback will be more expensive than the usual crossover performance by 2,000 euros. That is, the Audi Q5 Sportback 2020 model year can get a starting price tag of $ 45,500, which is significantly lower than the price of the X4 and GLC Coupe.
