Audi will bring next-generation 600-strong RS7 Sportback to FrankfurtSeptember 7, 2019
Audi will present at the Frankfurt Motor Show, which opens on September 10, the next-generation “charged” hatchback RS7 Sportback. This was reported by the press service of the German brand.
Apparently, the Audi RS7 Sportback will receive the same unit as the recently introduced new station wagon RS6 Avant. We are talking about a four-liter V8 gasoline engine with two turbines, working together with a starter-generator and a 48-volt on-board electrical system according to the “soft hybrid” scheme.
The engine develops 600 hp. and 800 N · m of torque, which is 40 forces and 100 N · m more than the engine output of the previous generation model. The engine is combined with an eight-speed automatic transmission and Quattro permanent all-wheel drive system. It is assumed that the new Audi RS7 Sportback, like the station wagon RS6 Avant, will be able to gain the first “hundred” in 3.6 s, and its maximum speed will be forced to limit 250 km per hour.
The new Audi RS7 Sportback will receive specially tuned air suspension, a sports differential on the rear axle and reinforced brakes.
In addition to the RS7 Sportback, Audi will present a new generation RS6 Avant station wagon at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the updated A4 and Q7, as well as the Al: Trail off-road electric concept car.
