A model on the Porsche Taycan platform will appear in the series in two years
The company Audi has published a teaser video, which showed the conceptual Grand Tourer Audi e-tron GT. The world premiere of the electric vehicle, which will be built on the Porsche Taycan platform, will be held at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Serial production of the model will begin in 2020.
The basis for the Audi e-tron GT will be the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) platform, which is a mix of high-strength steel, aluminum and polymer composites with a battery module integrated into the power structure and a low center of gravity. According to Autocar, the four-door will be more powerful and faster than the top-end Tesla Model S P100D.

The technical content of the e-tron GT will be close to the Porsche Taycan. These are two motors with a total power of 600 horsepower and a traction battery with support for 350 kilowatt charges. Up to 80 percent of it can be charged in 12 minutes. The e-tron GT mileage on a single charge will be identical to that of the e-tron crossover – 400 kilometers along the WLTP cycle.
Audi’s first electric car, the e-tron crossover, debuted in September. SUV is equipped with two electric motors with a total impact of 360 horsepower and 561 Nm of torque.
In overboost mode, which allows to increase power for eight seconds, the recoil reaches 408 forces and 660 Nm of torque. The claimed acceleration time to 60 miles per hour (96 kilometers per hour) is 5.5 seconds.
