Audi unveils new generation powerful station wagon RS4 AvantOctober 2, 2019
The start of sales of the updated version of the high-performance wagon Audi RS4 Avant is scheduled for this week – the initial price is 81,400 euros. From a technical point of view, the long-awaited German novelty has not received any changes.
For several months we watched the team of Audi engineers test prototypes of the high-performance wagon Audi RS4 Avant, and finally, we were presented with the serial version of the updated car.
The biggest difference in the exterior of the station wagon, obviously, is a false radiator grille called Singleframe, which has become a bit wider and made in the same style as other models of the company introduced recently.
This lattice has a honeycomb structure, which has already become branded for models of the RS-family. Next to the grille are new additional matrix LED headlights, surrounded by dark frames. The wheel arches of the new RS4 have become slightly wider than the standard A4 Avant station wagon, which allows them to accommodate wider tires.
Inside, a new 10.1-inch touch screen infotainment system MMI. It is slightly inclined towards the driver and now it implements those functions that were previously performed by the rotary button on the center console.
Under the hood of the RS4 Avant is the already familiar 2.9-liter Twin-Turbo V6 engine, developing 444 horsepower. The gearshift is controlled by an eight-speed Tiptronic gearbox, according to company representatives, the updated station wagon can accelerate to a speed of 100 km / h in 4.1 seconds.
It is reported that the high-performance station wagon Audi RS4 Avant 2020 model year will go on sale in the EU at the end of this month at a starting price of 81,400 euros
