Audi SQ7 and SQ8 received high-performance modificationsJanuary 14, 2020
Audi is going to offer its customers in the US more powerful SQ7 and SQ8 with a gasoline-powered 500-horsepower V8 under the hood. In Europe, these crossovers get more modest engines.
In the United States there will be new high-performance versions of the Audi SQ7 and SQ8 crossovers, which will be more powerful than the European versions of these SUVs. For its American customers, the brand has prepared a gasoline 4-liter Twin-Turbo V8, which produces 500 hp. Paired with him is 8-sped automatic transmission. For comparison, crossovers for Europe set in motion the 4-liter 429-horsepower TDI V8 diesel with two turbines. The difference in power is enough for the new versions to accelerate to 100 kph in just 4.3 seconds, which is half a second faster than the European Audi SQ7 and SQ8. The maximum speed is artificially limited at 250 km / h.
The rest of the crossovers SQ7 and SQ8, designed for the American car market, are not much different from the European versions. The best maneuverability and stability of the SUV is guaranteed by the all-wheel drive system. Also, convenient driving modes are responsible for the handling of the car, thanks to which crossovers behave perfectly on any road.
The price list for the high-performance Audi SQ7 and SQ8 will be closer to the start of sales. The German automaker promises to organize a market debut of new products at the end of this spring.
