Audi showed the updated RS7 SportbackSeptember 10, 2019
The German novelty received a 591-horsepower engine, as well as the most stylish exterior in the history of the German brand. The presentation of the car will take place at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
Today, September 10, the press service of the German brand Audi introduced an updated version of the “charged” RS7 Sportback. With a whopping 591 horsepower (800 Nm) under the hood, this is the most powerful RS7 Sportback to date … until the official “package” for increasing Performance is available.
Under the hood of the new items is a hybrid 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 V8. The 48-volt electrical system on the new RS7 Sportback is the same as its “sibling,” the RS6 Avant station wagon. RS7 can accelerate to a speed of 100 km / h in 3.6 seconds, and its maximum speed is electronically limited at around 250 km / h. It is known that, by purchasing additional “packages” Dynamic and Dynamic Plus, this figure can be increased to 280 and 305 km / h, respectively.
Audi RS7 will go on sale in the United States around the beginning of 2020, price information is not yet available.
The RS7 uses a standard adaptive air suspension – compared with the standard A7, the ground clearance at speeds up to 120 km / h drops by 10 mm. Also, the new RS7 has a special “lift mode”, which adds 20 mm to the clearance.
Thanks to the high-performance RS Sport suspension with Dynamic Ride Control, the new RS7 Sportback is even more maneuverable. Improved suspension tuning reduces body roll (Audi still doesn’t say how much) thanks to new shock absorbers with sporty integrated valves and more aggressive drive settings – including RS-specific RS1 and RS2 modes
