Audi showed the electric SUV E-Tron on videoSeptember 15, 2018
On the eve of the official debut of the electric crossover Audi E-Tron, the brand launches an active teaser campaign, and now we can look in detail at some details. The presentation will take place on September 17 at a special event.
Already on Monday October 17 in San Francisco will be presented a new electric crossover from the company Audi. The E-Tron model will be officially presented at a special event in San Francisco. Already very soon we will see the first electric car from Ingolstadt without camouflage.
Unfortunately, now the company does not disclose any details about the technical characteristics. But already now, according to unconfirmed reports and rumors, it is known that the crossover will receive a twin-engine configuration with a total capacity of up to 355 horsepower and 560 Nm of torque.
The crossover will also receive a special mode, capable of short-term increase in power by almost 50 hp and 100 Nm of torque. The power increase lasts for 8 seconds. Longer does not allow increasing load on the wiring, battery and motor.
Now the model is already in production. This was reported on September 3, but when the car goes on sale it was not reported.
The video was demonstrated to us at once by two main features of the car: rear-view cameras installed in place of classic mirrors, and also demonstrated the benefits for aerodynamics. Especially for video, the car was placed in a wind tunnel, and by the smoky trace showed a streamlined body.
Also demonstrated the work of mirrors and high-quality displays in the doors to which the image is displayed. Cameras can work in three modes depending on the situation on the road.
Recall that earlier Audi already showed the car, but in camouflaged form. In addition, two teasers have already been released within the framework of the new campaign. So, was shown the car descended from the assembly line, with a partially disassembled cloak, as well as the model completely under the cape.
All details will be known on September 17, and the company will conduct an online broadcast of the presentation on a specially created page www.e-tron.audi.
Earlier we already wrote that Audi outperformed Mercedes, and went on to mass production of the electric car e-Tron, but their competitors outstripped them and were the first to introduce their electric crossovers – Mercedes-Benz EQC and BMW iNEXT.
