Audi showed a limited version of the RS5 Panther EditionNovember 21, 2019
As part of the international auto exhibition, which is currently taking place in California, Los Angeles, Audi presented several new products at once, among which were “charged” versions.
We previously wrote that the German automaker introduced the most powerful SUV in its lineup – the RS Q8, as well as the production version of the Audi e-tron Sportback electric car. Among the new products was also a special version of the RS5 Sportback, which looked almost black at first glance, but upon closer inspection turned into a dark purple car. This is the Audi RS5 Panther Edition, the brainchild of Audi product manager Anthony Garbis.
The new RS5 in the Panther special series will be released in a strictly limited edition – only 75 Sportbacks and 25 coupe units. Garbis in an interview said that he created the Panther Edition, as his personal Q5 S is made in the same color Panther Black and others like him.
Panther Black crystal effect paint is a rare color for Audi in the past, and this is not the only aspect of the special edition package. Silver trim on the front and rear of the splitters, 20-inch five-spoke rims from RS4 Avant, and the interior is decorated with Alcantara with red accents.
The RS5 Panther Edition is priced from $ 88,995, which is $ 13,800 more than the base RS5 Sportback price. Sales of the limited version will start in December 2019.
